History Of The Firm
The firm began in September 2008 to provide financial management consulting solutions to small and medium-sized businesses, specializing in construction and related industries. The firm began because Michelle K. Wilcox saw a need to provide high-quality financial services to companies that do not have CFOs, controllers, or full-time accountants.
Prior to starting the firm, Michelle was a Senior Manager at GALLINA LLP, a regional full-service certified public accounting firm known nationally for its service to the construction and real estate industries. During her years with GALLINA LLP, Michelle performed audit, review, and compilation services for construction businesses in the Bay Area.
Michelle has almost 25 years of construction accounting experience, assisting with monthly/quarterly accounting services, the setup of accounting systems, accounting policies/procedures, and consulting services.
Michelle has extensive knowledge of Foundation Software and ProContractor by Viewpoint accounting systems and working knowledge of the Vista by Viewpoint accounting system. Michelle's knowledge of the Foundation Software and the Viewpoint accounting systems is enhanced by attending the Foundation Software and Viewpoint users' conferences.
Michelle also works with Sage 100 (MasterBuilder), Sage 300 (Timberline), Construction Partners, The American Contractor and QuickBooks accounting systems.
Michelle received her BA from the University of California at Irvine and her MBA, accounting option, from California State University at Hayward. Michelle is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the California Society of CPAs.
